A gate that's been hit, bent, cracked, or rusted through is more than an eyesore - it's your property's security compromised, and a damaged gate often binds the operator or won't move at all. Impact is the most dramatic cause. A vehicle backing into a leaf, a delivery truck clipping the gate, or a heavy object striking it can bend the frame, twist an operator arm, tear a hinge away from its post, or knock a slide gate clean off its track.
